Another beautiful UK Strand patt.23 production theatre light converted into a unique home office lamp.
This Strand is an earlier 1960’s model, so in keeping with its Art Deco origins, it has been restored in dazling white and polished to perfection. The 500watt globe has been replaced as usual with a regular screw in globe bayonet, and an easy on/off switch installed. The tripod legs close down to adjust the height and the centre rod also comes up for further height if required.
I am fast running out of Strand lamps to restore, so get em while they’re hot. This wonderful example of Deco UK theatre history will make the centre piece to any home or office and a great investment.
1960’S Strand Theatre Light – ITEM SOLD
G’day mate i picked up one of these today and someone has painted the thing bright blue.
Was wondering if you can tell me if they are all aluminium underneath and can I just lightly sand them back to a nice finish???
Hi, if the lamp is a Strand than it will be aluminium. You can paint strip the paint off but a light sand would give you an industrial finish not a polished one.
