11) Early 1920’s Production Theatre Light

Works by Marsel - Lamp No.11

By far the oldest theatre light I have restored to date. This amazing piece was found in Tasmania and was in pretty rough shape even for its age.

Firstly all the paint, grit, and grime were removed and then all the surface rust removed. The metal was then cut and polished to a high sheen. The lens was surprisingly in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. The high watt globe & bayonet was replaced with a regular household bayonet for standard globes.

The tripod used is also a very old 1900’s photography solid oak tripod making a perfect match for this charming old “Steampunkt” lamp.

A classic piece of early century theatre history pashionately restored into a unique Home/Office lamp.
