1) Antique Brass Maritime Lantern

img_6404.jpg

Works by Marsel – Lamp No1

A very old maritime large brass ships lantern. A rather dificult restoration as this lantern was covered with years of oil based paint. Completely stripped back to bare and placed on a matching antique surveyors tripod.

It has a 360 degree fresnel lens that focuses the light around the centre which creates an amazing beam of light around the centre of the walls in a room. Brass pieces that made up the wall mount bracket were removed during the restoration but still retained and used as features on the tripod.

ITEM SOLD – $865
